This technique is categorized into the Chinese Cloisonne (景泰蓝 Jintai Blue)which was developed based on enameling skills introduced from middle Asian in Ming Dynasty. Silver enameling was first applied in the Qing Dynasty(1636-1912) to imitate the color of kingfisher feathers, which were widely in luxury jewelry because of its amazing blue color. The Kingfisher Craft (点翠) technique was too brutal and was replaced by silver enameling in the end.
